The Community Fridge Network expands in Milton Keynes

Following the success of the community fridge in The Bath House in Wolverton another fridge is now open in the south of the city,  Woughton community fridge opened in November 2018 at the Community Council Hub in Coffee Hall local centre and is open  Mon 6-7, Tues 12-1, Wed 3,30 - 4.30 and Fri 9-10.  They have a throughput of around 120 -130 kg of food per week from Costco via a Church group and from a Tesco store. All the food collected is redistributed within about half an hour, mostly to local people. It is a parish council initiative aimed particularly at local residents and is proving a good way to build community engagement. Another fridge is planned to open shortly in The Chapel, Broadlands, Netherfield.

Daisychain Children's centre in Bletchley also have a community fridge.
